I love the winter months in Melbourne, but I have to say that I had a visceral reaction to the abundance of sunlight today. It was nourishing, in a way that I did not expect. The skies over docklands are blue and the marina is sparkling. A positive, albeit temporary, change.
Writing.design is my new project site. I am writing a book! The title is Writing Design: How to Tell Stories About Design and why you Absolutely Must.
I have posted an update on the Writing Design website, answering a question from Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies card deck. See the post here.
Stay tuned for more updates!
I have started a Substack! Dedicated to the conditions, circumstances and methods of engaging with uncertainty.

Will experiment/explore with this for a while, see what happens. Already have a few followers; not really watching that metric, but it is nice nonetheless. I am reconciled to screaming into the void on all my channels, and even one reader is enough to make it all worthwhile. In truth, I am happy just to write as its own reward.
The photograph below was taken on site recently in regional New South Wales - kind of looks like a piece of 20th Century modern art. Seems to gel visually with the topic of uncertainty. Kind of like an Antoni Tapies, or similar. OK maybe that’s a stretch.
